The iPhone 7, which Apple is expected to launch next year, could feature a memory boost, according to a research firm. The handset is also said to have waterproof capabilities.
It was only this year when Apple finally upped the memory module on its iPhone models from 1GB to 2GB in iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s plus. It seems unlikely that Apple will offer such a hardware upgrade in just one year. From iPhone 5, released in 2012, to iPhone 6s, released last year, Apple stuck with 1GB RAM for its smartphones.
